Graduated from The College of Technology, Bolton Street in 1987 with an honours degree in Building Services Engineering. Joined Seamus Homan Associates in 1990 and is now Joint Managing Director of Homan O’Brien. Has 30 years experience in the building industry.
Brian is Past President Elec 2014/2015, Association of Consulting Engineers of Ireland.
Brian is past Chairman of the Republic of Ireland Branch of the Chartered Institute of Building Services Engineers and current Committee Member of the Association of Consulting Engineers of Ireland. Member of Engineers Ireland and Member of Chartered Institution Building Services Engineers in 1987.
Obtained Post Graduate Diploma in Project Management from Trinity College Dublin, June 1991. Obtained Certificate in Passive House Planning Package (PHPP) through Sustainable Energy Authority of Ireland, June 2010.
Brian specialises in low energy innovation solutions for large buildings. Having devised the environmental strategies for projects such as Offaly County Council Offices and Cork City Council Offices to name but a few, Brian then supervised the design and construction of these projects on a hands on basis. Brian has particular expertise in Value for Money appraisal and will be an integral part of the proposed team. Brian understands that our designs should be produced to obtain the optimum benefit for our clients.
