Simon is a registered Chartered Engineer with over 30 years’ experience. Simon is well known for his expertise in Corporate Due Diligence on Large Scale Developments in Commercial, Residential and Hospitality Sectors.
Gerard Keating
Director
CEng, MIEI, FConsEI, FCIBSE, FIHEEM
Gerard is a registered Chartered Engineer with over 25 years’ experience. Gerard is a Fellow of IHEEM, CIBSE and ACEI and was awarded theCIBSE Bronze Medal in 2013 for Services to the Building Services Industry and the Institution in Ireland. He has held several roles within TU Dublin from Lecturer, External examiner and now Industry Liaison Group member. He is also a professional grade membership interviewer with Engineers Ireland continuing his role in supporting career development opportunities
for all engineers. Gerard manages the CPD for the Electrical Department within Homan O’Brien ensuring standards and design principles are current and leading edge.
Gerard was Project Director on the Mater Campus Hospital Development Gerard is also the company’s H&S Representative, and he oversaw the initial award of OHSAS 18001 and our transition to ISO 45001 being the first Irish M&E consultant to achieve this accreditation.
He is a keen golfer and can be seen on the links most weekends.

Director, Mechanical Engineer with over 25 years’ experience.
James is well known for his expertise in the Healthcare Sector from designing complex acute hospitals to individual theatre suites, MRI Units, CT Scanners and Linear Accelerators, having worked on the Mater Campus Hospital Development and most recently Beacon Hospital, Bon
Secours Hospital, Tallaght University Hospital and recently completed Santry Sports Surgery Clinic New Extension.

Daniel is an Associate with Homan O'Brien and has over 16 years’ experience in the industry. Daniel has experience across a broad spectrum of the building services engineering industry from MEP design, services coordination, to testing and commissioning with the expertise and proven ability to work in demanding situations ensuring projects are delivered on time with attention to detail, quality and client satisfaction at the forefront. Daniel draws from his background in engineering and building performance analysis to assist design teams and building occupiers to implement and operate successful low energy strategies.
Sheila Sexton
Senior Engineer
Sheila has worked as a Senior Engineer in Building Engineering Services sector for over 35 years. Sheila has vast experience on large and small scale projects mainly in the commercial, institutional and industrial sectors. Her main area of interest is in commercial projects and she works directly with major clients to deliver tailored solutions to our client's specific requirements with great success. Sheila was the Senior Engineer on the award winning Frascati Shopping Centre.
Muir Gordon
Senior Engineer
Muir is a senior engineer with over 20 years’ experience in the industry. Muir has vast experience on large and small scale projects mainly in the commercial, institutional and industrial sectors. Muir has an established ability to lead projects from the planning and design stage to full completion; GMP lead design process, preparation and management of capital & operation budgets, providing support and direction to
operational staff, adhering to strict Quality Assurance procedures by maintaining documentation and accountability to support decisions.
Conor Hayes
Associate
Conor is an Associate with Homan O'Brien and has over 11 years’ experience in the industry. He has led major commercial projects in both the public and private sector including the award winning Roscommon County Council Headquarters.
Conor has worked in a variety of projects in education, hospitality, residential & conservation. He also has experience in the design and build market and acted as technical advisor to Sport Ireland on the flagship National Indoor Arena project.
Conor has a keen interest in sport and has won all Ireland medals in hurling.
Alvin Cassidy
Associate
Alvin is an Associate with Homan O'Brien and has over 16 years’ experience in the industry. Alvin has vast experience on large and small scale projects mainly in the commercial and residential sectors. Alvin adopts a “hands on” approach to all his projects and his attention to detail is beyond reproach.
Alvin has particular expertise in electrical design and review, refining designs to client requirements. Extensive Knowledge of LEED and BREEAM environmental assessments and low carbon technologies for compliance with Part L. Alvin has experience in detailed on site co-ordination problem solving issues as they arise in construction phase with main contractors and Mechanical and Electrical sub-contractors
Shane O’Brien
BIM Manager
BIM/CAD Manager with over 20 years’ experience working on some of Ireland's largest, high profile projects in the commercial, healthcare and the semi-conductor sector.
Shane is highly skilled in a number of BIM software packages including Revit, Navisworks, AutoCAD amongst others and specialises in the 3D modelling & Co-ordination of complex Plantrooms/Plant Spaces.
Shane leads a team of BIM technicians in Homan O’Brien leading the way for BIM in the Irish Construction Industry.
