This development is based in a large Business Park in Galway where we achieved LEED Gold Certification.
Medtronic is a two storey office development with seminar and meeting rooms. It also has demonstration laboratory and demonstration theatres. The internal rooms consist of Seminar areas, Large 50 person meeting rooms, Cellular offices, Open plan offices, Simulation Theatre and Demonstration Laboratory.
The plantroom is located within the basement area with main distribution risers to above. A main link corridor connects the new building to the existing adjoining building on both the ground floor and the first floor.
Full Mechanical & Electrical Services Installations Design. We were also responsible for overseeing the certification, calculations and site testing required for LEED accreditation for the mechanical and electrical services installation. This involved specification of additional testing requirements, liaising with the construction team and an intensive program of witnessing and testing prior to practical completion.
Awarded the Sustainable Green Project of the Year, 2014 at the Irish Building & Design Awards. A panel of experts awarded Medtronic CIC the Sustainable Green Project of the Year, 2014 as they deemed this project to be exceptionally compliant with Environmental Management Systems, life cycle analysis with sustainability a key feature.
