Military Archives, Cathal Brugha Barracks, Rathmines.

New two story building built to house irreplaceable artefacts in relation to Irish history. The internal design conditions must be kept at precise conditions to ensure the artefacts are not damaged while being stored. The building consists of two document storage rooms of 780m2, a map room and a specialist film storage room. The project also consists of the refurbishment of an old two story hospital building which is being converted into an office for the day to day running of the archive building. This building contains administration rooms, reading rooms, a canteen and a conservation lab.
