Schools PPP Programme Bundle 2 – Abbeyfeale Community College, Limerick

Abbeyfeale Community College is created from the amalgamation of three schools to form one main post primary facility that accommodates 850 students. 

The new school is located just off the main street in Abbeyfeale and the two storey school accommodates 23 classrooms, 29 specialist classrooms, special needs unit comprising Central Activities Space, En-suite Toilets & Shower Area, Withdrawal Room, Multi-Sensory Room. A Para-Educational Room along with Linen / Sluice Room. New library, staff/administration areas, sports hall, store areas, toilets and ancillary areas. 

External facilities include a full size GAA pitch, 6 hard surface playing areas, vehicular/pedestrian access, car park, cycle parking areas, bus and car park set down areas. Also link road connecting the school to the public road. The total gross floor area of the school is 9,065m2. 

Sustainability Design features include; 2 Quiet Revolution Vertical Axis Wind Turbines / 7.2kW Solar PV Array / 60,000 Litre Rainwater Harvesting Tank.
