The Kemmy Business School is a postgraduate learning facility constructed beside the existing Schumann Building on the West Side of the University of Limerick campus. The School incorporates a 350-person lecture theatre, six 50-person interactive seminar rooms, break-out study areas, academic offices and communal spaces. On the second floor are an Executive Education Centre and a state-of-the-art ”Bloomberg” type Trading Room complete with 30 trading desks. The 5,600 sq.m. building accommodation is set out over four floors.

Design, Supervision and Certification of all Mechanical & Electrical Services Installations. We carried out the full design including full catering kitchen facilities for the mechanical and HVAC systems including building energy management control system, electrical, IT structured cabling and lift services for the project from the conceptual stage right through to validation and the project handover demonstrations. We assisted the end users in providing the required service provisions for the end user equipment and assisted in part re-modelling of the Robert Schuman Building.

Computational fluid dynamic study was carried out on the air movement in the classrooms. Use of roof top solar panel installation for all domestic hot water requirements. All works carried out on a live campus.
